JAIPUR: The Rajasthan High Court has issued a notice to the state government asking it to show cause why the ordinance issued to regulate the various sports association should not be stayed.
The court ordered after reviewing a petition of Kashinath Rajgariah, a former vice president of the RCA, which said the ordinance was in violation of Article 19 and 14 of the Constitution.

Paras Kuhad, the counsel of RCA, said that the ordinance would deprive the individual members of their rights and the ordinance was an attack on the autonomy of the sports bodies.
The ordinance binds the state associations and their affiliates to get itself registered with the Registrar of Societies by September 19, failing which the state government would be free to set up ad hoc bodies in the sports associations.
